Biography

Amber Wickey started dancing at the age of 3 at Nunnbetter Dance Theater in Bergenfield New Jersey. Soon after, she fell in love with performing, and has been training in classical ballet ever since. Amber has performed principle roles in various ballets including The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and Raymonda. She has performed original choreography by Margo Sappington and Thom Clower. Amber has attended various summer programs including Kaatsbaan, Ballet West and Orlando Ballet. In addition to ballet, Amber is also proficient in modern (Paul Taylor and Horton techniques), jazz, contemporary, and musical theater. 

 

Amber graduated from Tenafly High School in 2016, and is currently enrolled as a dance pedagogy major at Butler University. She has performed lead rolls in Butler Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker. Amber has also performed in Giselle, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Swan Lake. She has also performed in Gerald Arpino’s Light Rain. She will graduate from the Jordan College of the Arts in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
